We’d love for you to join our in-person photography workshop series where our resident fashion photographer, Elmer Erana teaches foundational techniques for professional studio lighting and posing techniques that will help you achieve extraordinary editorial shoots for your portfolio.

Workshop Format:

You don’t need experience with studio lighting to attend this workshop.

This workshop is designed to help you experiment with lighting equipment while working with published models to shoot multiple looks to create a diverse portfolio to attract new clients.

This 4-hour Fashion Photography Workshop takes place at our studio conveniently located in South Calgary, near Chinook Shopping Centre with plenty of free parking space.

Space is limited to 6 students for one-on-one support and ample time for hands-on setup and lighting changes.

You’ll be working with professional models at our 12-ft tall cyclorama wall with all the lighting equipment needed for the workshop.

All you need to bring is your camera.

In This 4-Hour Workshop, Gain Experience In…

  • The basics of fashion/editorial photography from being the producer and project manager to execution
  • Shooting in a studio environment with strobe lighting
  • Gain a keen eye for detail for hair, makeup, posing, and stlying
  • Learn the functionality of multi-light setup + modifiers: background lighting, beauty lighting, and Vflats
  • Working with professional models and directing them to achieve your vision for the shoot

Workshop Prerequisites

Good understanding of photography basics (exposure settings, relationship between aperture and shutter speed, basic photo editing)
